HitBTC is very vague on their requirements and they allow you to perform any action of their website including deposits + trades EXCEPT WOTHDRAWALS. As soon as it is time to withdraw, they flag you as suspicious and require you to fill out KYC and refuse with every response to allow you to get your original funds back or your coins you have traded.

Sorry for your loss, HitBTC has turned from a decent exchange 4 years ago to a total KYC scam. They use the KYC scam to freeze your funds. It's claimed that HitBTC does this because it has insufficient liquidity and is struggling financially. I also learned that the KYC requested by HitBTC goes way beyond what would be required by any reputable/regulated institution, for example, it requests links to social media accounts.
KYC is used by hitbtc to "steal" all your private info. NEVER EVER give Hitbtc (worlds No.1 scam exchange) your personal info. At best they just sell it on to criminals to fake ids. At worst they give your address to people who will turn uo in the middle of the night with hammers and demand more crypto from you.
